Maintenance Manager - Exciting Opportunity at Carlton Gardens, Burnaby

WestCana is looking for Full-time Maintenance Manager with a passion for the elderly to join one of our teams to support our residents in Burnaby. 

Positions Information:

• Full-time: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm
• Wage: $28 - $30/hour
• Location: 4108 Norfolk Street, Burnaby, V5G 0B4

Must Have Qualifications - Are YOU the Right Fit? 

• 5+ years of maintenance management in long-term care, hospital, or residential settings
• Expertise in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and security systems
• Knowledge of building codes, OSHA standards, and compliance regulations
• Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
• On-call availability and valid WHMIS certificate
• TB clearance, background check, and annual criminal record declaration required

Responsibilities - YOUR Role

• Oversee daily maintenance, ensuring all systems are operational and compliant
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Manage maintenance staff, budgets, repairs, inventory, and emergency responses
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, including fire safety, HVAC, and WorkSafeBC
• Participate in health and safety committees and facility improvement projects
• Communicate maintenance plans and updates with residents, staff, and management
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
