Dishwasher - Cavell Gardens

WestCana is looking for Part-time Dishwasher with a passion for the elderly to join one of our teams to support our residents in support our residents in Independent Living in Vancouver. 

Positions Information:

• Part-time: Sunday - Thursday, 4pm - 8pm, 20 hours/week
• Wage: $21.00 /hour
• Location of Work: 2835 Sophia Street, Vancouver, V5T 4V2

Dishwasher Must Haves:

• Successful completion of secondary school or equivalent.
• Legally allowed to work in Canada.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Effective interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to organize work and work under strict time constraints.
• Satisfactory proof of COVID-19 vaccinations.
• Passes and complies with Ministry of Justice Criminal Record Check upon hire and every 5 years thereafter.

Dishwasher Nice to Haves:

• Building Service Worker Certificate, Institutional Aide Certificate and/or Basic Food Safe Certificate.
• Institutional cleaning experience.

Dishwasher Responsibilities:

• Unpack and store supplies. 
• Maintain work and storage areas in a clean, safe and sanitary manner. Wash, clean and store dishes, cutlery, fixtures and equipment used for food preparation and service. 
• Operate and clean food service equipment and furniture. Observe all policies and procedures, work standards and safety regulations. 
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
