Multi-Skilled Worker - Dietary Aide , Housekeeping , Enhanced Cleaning & Laundry

WestCana is looking for Casual Multi-Skilled Workers to work in various functions as needed, such as Dietary , Housekeeping , Enhanced Cleaning , and Laundry with a passion for the elderly to join one of our teams to support our residents in Long Term Care in Agassiz. 

Positions Information:

• Casual: 6:30am - 2:30pm
• Location of Work: 1525 Mackay Crescent, Agassiz, BC, V0M 1A3 (20-30 minutes outside of Chilliwack)
• Start Date: ASAP

Multi-Skilled Worker Must Haves:

• FoodSafe Level 2.
• WHMIS certification.
• Satisfactory proof of COVID-19 vaccinations.
• Passes and complies with Ministry of Justice Criminal Record Check upon hire and every 5 years thereafter.

Multi-Skilled Worker Nice to Haves:

• Institutional cleaning experience.
• Previous experience in Long-term Care Facility and/or food service establishment.
• Experience in Health care or Long Term Care is preferred.
• Building Service Worker Certificate, Institutional Aide Certificate and/or Basic Food Safe Certificate.

Multi-Skilled Worker Responsibilities:

Supports the site staff by completing basic non-care tasks such as, but not limited to:

• Stripping and Remaking Beds.
• Removal of Laundry from Units to designated area.
• Delivery of Supplies and Laundry to Units.
• Enhanced cleaning of touch points, including but not limited to handrails, doors, handles, carts, light switches, countertops, tables, chairs.
• Emptying of Resident Room Garbage and Removal of Garbage from Units to Main Garbage Area.
• Delivery of Meal Carts to Floors or support of delivery of meals to resident rooms (if residents are on isolation).
• Adheres to Infection Control Practices.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
