- Effective English communication skills

- Clear Criminal Record Check
- Ability to work under time constraints

- Set tables, serve meals and beverages
- Prepare simple food items and assemble meal trays
- Wash dishes, clean kitchen and equipment
- Follow HACCP, food safety, and infection control standards
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines

- Unpack and store supplies.
- Maintain work and storage areas in a clean, safe and sanitary manner. Wash, clean and store dishes, cutlery, fixtures and equipment used for food preparation and service.
- Operate and clean food service equipment and furniture. Observe all policies and procedures, work standards and safety regulations.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Casual Cook Helper
($24.08 per hour)

Days Varies, 10:30am - 6:30pm
|
- Current qualification(s) as a cook with some experience in a volume food preparation environment.
- Maintains Food Safe Level 1 Certification.
- Effective English communication skills
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
- Clear Criminal Record Check
- Effective interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to organize work and work under strict time constraints

- Prepares food that meets or exceeds the appearance, taste, and quality expectations of the residents, families and clients.
- Prepares and/or monitors the preparation of daily and special event menu plans to ensure individual dietary needs and standards for dietary care are met or exceeded and costs remain within approved budget allocations.
- Implements and maintains inventory control systems to maximize savings and minimize waste.
- Ensuring all phases of food preparation meets or exceeds health and safety requirements i.e. Community Care Facility Act, WHMIS, WCB, provincial safety standards etc.
- All safety rules and safe work procedures are adhered to at all times.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
